When we finished he asked me to come to his room for a drink. As we walked to the elevator my new shoes killed my feet. Once we got to his room he invited me inside. There was an overstuffed loveseat under a large picture window that looked out over the city. On the table in front of it was a candle burning quietly. It felt warm and comforting in his room. I just looked up at him through half closed eyes and murmured, “mm..hmm..” and smiled tiredly. He chuckled softly and told me to get comfortable and pulled the covers up over me. Then he climbed in bed beside me and just before I fell asleep with his warm body curled next to mine, he kissed my neck softlyand whispered into my ear, “sweet dreams”.
